When we get a cut, our body initiates a series of cellular processes to fix the wound. The whole body, cells, fibres, and blood cells, perform a collective dance of healing. This week I also found out that most bodies recover wounds better during the day than in the night, almost to say that healing happens faster when the wound is more visible to the world. Undoubtedly to heal, one must acknowledge the wound. With what is going on in the world, my thoughts on pain have exacerbated in the last few days, so I want to dig deeper into the feeling.
