Today’s essay looks at the non-fiction masterpiece by bell hooks. I chose to look at this book because I think it is an essential piece of writing for everyone, I am aware there are many more books out there on the topic of love and that they all bring something to the table. But today, I am telling you what this one brought to my table.

I had never thought of love as a liberating practice, one that I could relate to at least, until I read All about love by bell hooks. I was 30, single, and in a moment of questioning many of the things that I had taken for certain until then. Love was one of them.
